We had another successful show at the King Alfred’s School, Burnham on Sea. Visitors came from far and wide including Perth, Australia. There were three main Hornby O gauge layouts. Peter Lintern put on a pure Hornby 3 rail electric layout, not sullied by inferior makes.

Chris Batten with David Temple put on the largest possible clockwork layout in one of the class rooms, 24 feet long, giving a total run of over fifty feet per lap. As we are leaving the EU, metric units are not applicable. Driving lessons were available for youngsters.

Yours truly put on an electric layout running those makes not mention in HRCA circles, although, I did use Hornby track rail clips.

As for the Dublo, there was plenty of it. Vanessa Howells with Dad, Mike, bought along their fixed layout but ran a French AchO theme, with 2 rail stock. Steve Sands showed his module Dublo 3 rail system, which seems to grow more complex with every show. Tony Gray was running possibly the smallest Dublo 2 rail layout, a shop display item.

David Trotham and Chris Castleman ran a mixed 2 and 3 rail Dublo layout. The club new Dublo 2 rail layout had its first public appearance under Jim Roach and Peter Carr’s guidance. Mike Burton and John Thick persevered in a back room class with a Dublo 3 rail layout.
